QacQoc GN28A USB C Hub for MacBook Pro with USB ports, card reader and other ports

A few weeks ago they contacted us from QacQoc to give us the possibility to try one of their usb-c hubs for MacBook Pro 13 and 15 inches with USB-C (the models from the end of 2,016 onwards), specifically the model GN28A. After using it for some time, here we bring our impressions on the accessory.

The GN28A is a usb-c hub that allows to incorporate several ports to the mentioned Apple laptops. In particular this accessory includes two USB 3.0 ports, SDHC card reader and MicroSDHC, plus two USB-C ports, something that does not lose these ports when connecting the accessory.

Add USB 3.0 ports and card reader without losing the USB-C ports of the new MacBook Pro

The accessory has a design that marries perfectly with the current MacBook pros. Connects to the two Thunderbolt 3 ports with the USB-C connector on the left side of the notebook and does not require any configuration; Connect and ready.

Once connected to the MacBook Pro, the accessory allows you to use any accessory or peripheral compatible with the aforementioned connections. Thanks to it we can connect without complications Pendrives, USB cables to charge or synchronize IPhone or any other mobile device, read memory cards, etc, etc …

In the tests we have been able to perform with the QacQoc USB C HUB we have achieved good performance results. Both the USB 3.0 ports and the card reader offer a good transfer rate and we have had no problem charging the battery of an iPhone 6s Plus using the original cable and one of the usb c hub ports. In other words, the accessory delivers the energy needed for this type of operation.

The presentation of the product is noteworthy. As you can see in the picture above, the usb type c hub comes in a good quality cardboard box and includes a leather case to transport it safely, perfect for carrying it in the backpack or carrying bag of the laptop.

The least we liked about the accessory is that it disconnects relatively easily. For example to disconnect a USB connector it is necessary to hold the usb c hub so that it does not detach from the computer. It is not a serious problem and it costs nothing to get used to.

Due to the ports it includes and its features we believe this is a perfect usb c hub for anyone looking for mobility and to be able to connect accessories or cards to your MacBook Pro in any location. Perhaps not the best option if you are looking for a usb c hub to use at home or office with the laptop connected to an external screen, because it has no HDMI port or similar, although it is possible to connect an adapter to one of the USB-C ports.
